Which Anti Aging Products Work Best for Your Skin Type?

Different skin types require different products because of their unique needs. This is why Perricone provides the best skin care products for each skin type, allowing your skin to fight the temperature and hormonal changes your body goes through as the seasons change and the years go by.

Although skin type is a genetic attribute, there are some factors, including your hygienic routine, that can have a huge impact in preserving it.

From nutrition to what cream you use when you get out of the shower, everything affects different skin types in different ways. This is why it is important to know what kind of skin you have and how you should care for it.

Read on to find out which anti aging products are best for the following skin types:

Normal Skin

For the most part, normal skin is easiest to care for because there are not major problems to fix on a daily basis. Normal skin’s characteristics tend to include:

  • Even color, smooth appearance, and firm feel
  • Small to medium pore size
  • Minimal blemishes and irritation
  • Overall appearance is vibrant and healthy

The best Perricone product for normal skin is the Neuropeptide Facial Conformer which will help keep healthy skin constantly renewing itself to reveal visibly younger looking skin. And the best part about this highly powerful product is that a little bit goes a long way.

Dry Skin

Having dry skin means you must fight wrinkles more than those with other skin types. Anti aging products are best for you because they contain the extra moisture your skin thirsts for.

After using anti aging skin care you will see less of these symptoms commonly found with your skin type:

  • Flaking
  • Skin tightness and roughness
  • Red patches
  • Cracking, itchiness, and possible bleeding of the skin
  • Wrinkles

The best Perricone product for dry skin is Intensive Moisture Therapy which will help moisturize and repair damaged skin while being gentle enough to deal with already stressed skin that has undergone physical or environmental changes.

Try Perricone for as little at $10.

Oily Skin

Of all the skin types, oily skin is most beneficial in the long run when it comes to fighting the signs of aging. This is because of its characteristics of maintaining great moisture even during the driest months of the year.

Oily skin types tend to have:

  • Shiny appearance
  • Extra firmness
  • Large pores
  • Frequent breakouts, pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads appear
  • Discoloration, fine lines, and wrinkles as the skin ages

Skin Clear Hydrator is Perricone’s special formulation for oily skin. This product encourages regeneration of skin cells while formulated with Allatoin to help reduce surface debris of built up oil cells. With continued use of the skin saver, you will see skin to begin appearing softer and more clear.

Sensitive Skin

Sensitive skin affects people all over the world and depending on who you ask, it may mean different things to different people. From acne and rosacea to the stinging and burning feeling from allergies, many people classify their skin type as “sensitive.” What they all have in common, however, is the result of these skin issues which is inflammation.

Sensitive skin tends to have:

  • Rashes or red blotchiness
  • Prone to burning and irritation
  • Broken blood vessels and capillaries may appear
  • Fine texture and pores

Perricone’s Hydrating Nutrient Mask is a perfect match for those with sensitive skin. This product instantly hydrates tired, irritated skin for a rested, radiant appearance. While delivering rich nutrients and antioxidants to hydrate and protect the skin, this mask will also minimize the appearance of lines and irritations to give yourself a fresh, healthy glow.

Combination Skin

Combination skin means you have both oily and dry skin areas. Generally, people with this skin type have these characteristics:

  • T-Zone area is oily while cheeks and skin around eyes are normal to dry
  • Medium pore size
  • Overall skin appearance is normal and healthy

To deal with combination skin, Dr. Perricone has created a Concentrated Restorative Treatment for night time use to help resurface and balance out the two forces at work with your skin. It fights wrinkles, while also toning and firming the skin.

Now that you know characteristics of each skin type, be sure to evaluate your skin and decide which type you have this time of the year and at this time in your life. Re-evaluate your constantly changing skin several times throughout the year to make sure you are using the best products to keep your skin looking its best, always.

  8. I took my girlfriend to Sephora today for cold plasma, that’s the one thing I like about it it solves everything without having to have 5 different bottles. I might have converted her.

  9. I have been on a quest and learning so much about my skin. I turned 30 almost 3 years ago and freaked out and bought everything anti aging and whatever was popular, and I rotated products thinking I would get the best out of everything by trying them all. I really didn’t need that much extra help yet but it started the skin quest. This last winter though my skin started freaking out and I always knew I’d get rosacea (my mom has it) and I started getting red patches that would not go away, and then a red bump. After 3 months of trying everything I was about to go to a derm and I stopped at Sephora and met a perricone rep. We sat down and figured out stuff, I have to say 3 days after a routine which was needed my patch is finally starting to diminish. I had tried cold plasma from a sephora holiday kit but never consistently and BID. So I might be converted, but we’ll have to spend more time with my new routine and see how everything looks. So lesson learned, just because it’s popular or labeled anti aging doesn’t means it works. And routine is important. It’s hard to have your skin change, I was always able to do whatever I wanted to it & never had an issue. Now my skin is dry and sensitive some compared to combo and normal before. I look forward to trying future products because Sephora is great with samples.

  12. Does anyone know if, as a relatively young (26 years old) person with dry skin, I should be concerned with some of the exfoliating ingredients in anti-aging cleansers causing over-drying?
