Perricone 3-Day Diet: Get a Face Lift…in Your Kitchen?

A healthy, anti-inflammatory diet aids in the elimination of puffiness and increases contours and firmness. Dr.Perricone recommends getting some immediate benefits by following an antioxidant-rich diet for 3 days. The foundation of this diet is salmon, eaten twice a day. Example Menu

Breakfast

½ cup cooked oatmeal (not instant)
2” wedge of cantaloupe or 1/3 cup fresh berries
8 – 12 oz. spring water

Lunch
4-6 oz. grilled salmon.
2 cups green salad (Romaine lettuce or other dark leafy greens with extra virgin olive oil and fresh squeezed lemon)
1 kiwi fruit or cantaloupe and berries
8 – 12 oz. spring water

Snack
1 apple
2 oz. slice of turkey breast or 6 oz. plain yogurt
Small handful of hazelnuts, walnuts or almonds

Dinner
4-6 oz. grilled salmon
2 cups green salad
½ cup steamed veggies. (Asparagus, broccoli, spinach, etc. No root vegetables, such as potatoes, carrots, or beets.)
Cantaloupe and berries
8 – 12 oz. spring water

Before Bedtime Snack
1 pear or apple
2 oz. slice chicken or turkey breast or 6 oz. plain yogurt
Small handful of hazelnuts, walnuts or almonds

  1. Three words – ACNE, ACNE, ACNE. I am embarrassed in pictures. I have large pores, red skin and oil (oh, so much oil) and I don’t want to be on birth control the rest of my life to control it. I have been through product after product and my dermatolgist says nothing helps but birth control. I am healthy otherwise-I excercise often, teach my kids to eat right, and I am at a good weight. I just have acne all OVER and just want an even redless skin tone to reveal the real me.

  3. love to be a tester.Does not seem to matter what I do I always have puffiness in my face.I take fish oil capsules, I am always on some kind of cleanse.I paid $500 dollars for juvaderm and am not happy with the results, very frustrating.Would love to be a tester as paying top $$$$ for product and always on to the next because they dont do what they promise,cant afford to keep paying and trialing.A person gets to the point of giving up.

  12. I have Dr. Perricone’s book, “The Perricone Weight -Loss Diet,” published in 2005. It helped me a lot when I tried it back then but I’ve gone back to bad habits and managed to gain everything back. I also feel lthat my body is in a severe inflammatory state. Not sure if I should return to the book that I already have or get a newer one but I thought I’d start with looking on the website. The 3-Day Diet looks like a good place to start – I’m 55 and don’t want to waste any more time. Seems like it would be a good motivator and a way to turn things around quickly. I have a couple questions though…is it ok to use frozen wild-caught salmon filets or burgers and a frozen berry combo instead of fresh? (I live in a rural area without a grocery store but can get to big box club stores every couple of weeks.) I would also be interested in being a product tester.

  20. I read Dr. Perricone’s book and like his no nonsense and simplistic attitude. With his diet, the foods require very little preparation and no excuse for not having sufficient time.

  28. Just finishing this diet today. As a person who definitely enjoys diet coke, salt, and wine (all the things this plan wouldn’t let me have), I expected to be relatively miserable, but it really wasn’t difficult. Certainly, I was never hungry. In fact, I couldn’t get both the eggs AND oatmeal down in the mornings without being stuffed. I didn’t try it in order to lose weight. I just wanted my skin to look better, and to feel better. That said, I lost 5 lbs, which must be water weight, despite all of the water I have been drinking. My skin does seem brighter, and my face seems far less bloated, with more definition along the jaw line. Even my middle son (who tells me not to wear skirts because my knees are too wrinkly) said that I looked younger. High praise indeed. I am 45, and will now try to incorporate more fruits and yogurt into my diet. Really pretty remarkable results for a 3 day plan. Just hope they last after I crack open a diet coke tomorrow!

  32. I am a 70 year old male and my body is in good shape from a life of fighting and weightlifting.when I work out a wear a hoodie that covers my silver hair and some of my face. Most people guess my age as being late 40s. I was sitting at a party a few weeks ago when some people were asked to guess my age, most of them said late 70s. I was stunned and upset. I went home and looked in the miror; I looked old. My wife has used Perricone products for years and looks great. I would never subject myself to cosmetic surgey and so took my wife’s advice and tried the Perricond 3 day diet and perricone products.   50. I am on the 3rd day of the perricone 3 day facelift diet. I feel great. My skin is glowing, my fine lines are noticeably reduced, and I lost 2 pounds. In addition, I had a small acne cluster on my cheek and the redness and inflammation has been reduced. AND THIS ALL HAPPENED AFTER 3 DAYS! I was a skeptic, but now I am sold! I am going to follow with the 28 day wrinkle cure diet. My BFFs and roommates are all starting the 3 day diet because they are so impressed with my quick results. I will update all of you as I see changes in the next 28 days. Its too bad I cant post pictures. I took a before picture and I can definitely see a difference. Everyone should give this a try.
