Perricone 3-Day Diet: Get a Face Lift…in Your Kitchen?

A healthy, anti-inflammatory diet aids in the elimination of puffiness and increases contours and firmness. Example Menu

½ cup cooked oatmeal (not instant)
2” wedge of cantaloupe or 1/3 cup fresh berries
8 – 12 oz. spring water

Lunch
4-6 oz. grilled salmon.
2 cups green salad (Romaine lettuce or other dark leafy greens with extra virgin olive oil and fresh squeezed lemon)
1 kiwi fruit or cantaloupe and berries
8 – 12 oz. spring water

Snack
1 apple
2 oz. slice of turkey breast or 6 oz. plain yogurt
Small handful of hazelnuts, walnuts or almonds

Dinner
4-6 oz. grilled salmon
2 cups green salad
½ cup steamed veggies. (Asparagus, broccoli, spinach, etc. No root vegetables, such as potatoes, carrots, or beets.)
Cantaloupe and berries
8 – 12 oz. spring water

Before Bedtime Snack
1 pear or apple
2 oz. slice chicken or turkey breast or 6 oz. plain yogurt
Small handful of hazelnuts, walnuts or almonds

  6. I have just started the 3 day diet and after 1 day I saw results! I feel so good! I have tried 2 or 3 diets, including Atkins, and Dr. Fuhrman’s Eat to Live diet, but nothing compares to how I feel and look on this diet. I tried Dr. Fuhrmans

After 3 years of headaches, dry skin, brittle hair and nails and skin that seemed to age overnight…I thought that I was going to have to accept that this is just what happens as we get older. Ugh. Then one day I was rummaging through some old boxes and found my copy of the wrinkle cure that I purchased in my late 20s. I thought, I am sure things have changed in all tihs time and started researching. Come to find out not much had changed at all and that Dr Perricone was spot on almost 25 years ago and just now everybody else has started catching up. So I did the 3 day diet in November 2012. Purchased the fish and blueberries from Vital Choice even. I followed the diet to a tee and low and behold smiled for the first time in years when looking at my skin at the end of day 3. I was hooked and did the 28 day regimen. Fantastic. I looked better than I had in 15 years. I also realized…I feel better. No more aches n pains, no more headache. Yay. This is what optimal health feels like. Then the holidays came. The trips to the gym stopped and so did the non inflammatory eating…so here it is end of Feb and my skin is more angry and sensitive than ever. The cellulite has returned to the thighs and I always feel boated. So the commitment has been made – the salmon and blueberries have been ordered and I will do this again. Because once you see the results…once you feel what optimal health is….it is nothing short of abuse if you don’t give yourself this gift everyday.

  10. I found this diet in a magazine cover long ago, If Jennifer Lopez did it now I can too so I bought the magazine then I bought the book and since then Dr. Perricone has been my favorite doctor. I recommend his diet, books, etc. I wish everyone would just try it instead of buying all the junk food. Eat the whole year like on the 28 day diet or even close to it. Im so glad i found this in my 30′s because now I’m in my 40′s, still looking 30.

  11. I am going in again, this time with my two 20 something year old children. Starting with 3 day and going on to the 28 day. i am excited to be doing this again. My results were soooo readily visible i was shocked. I had just completed before going to the theatrical conference where looking my best was paramount. Making matters worse I left my makeup bag behind. I arrived in a town where the local pharmacy had just closed for the weekend. The nearest Walmart was 27 miles away. I got so many compliments on my skin and blush that I never did make it either place. My face remained make up free and glowing all weekend. Of course I ate blueberries and cantaloupe practically all weekend so as not to lose that glow before I returned home. LOL Bless you Dr. Perricone.
