Olive Oil Moisture: Effective and Safe Ingredient in Perricone Products

ou may use olive oil when cooking your favorite Italian dish, but did you know that olive oil moisture is also excellent for the skin?

The truth is, while other products may contain chemicals that cause more harm than good, olive oil is a safe and natural way to lock in moisture and keep your skin healthy.

Several Perricone products incorporate olive oil polyphenols to help protect and nourish skin.

Brief Overview on the Benefits of Olive Oil Moisture

Olive oil is excellent for the skin because it is rich in polyphenols, a type of antioxidant. Antioxidants work to protect the skin at the cellular level from damaging free radicals that can cause numerous health issues that range from wrinkles to diseases.

Some factors that cause free radical damage include:

  • Air pollution
  • Sunlight
  • Cigarette smoke
  • Stress

Antioxidants are important because they battle both the internal forces, such as stress, and external forces, such as sunlight, that cause free radical damage.

By preventing the free radicals from reaching the cell membrane, antioxidants can stop or even reverse cell membrane damage and sub-clinical inflammation, including the microscopic scarring that form wrinkles. Olive oil polyphenols are an especially strong type of natural antioxidant.

Olive Oil Polyphenols in Perricone Products

This natural ability to protect the skin from the signs of aging makes olive oil moisture an excellent ingredient for a variety of uses.

Dr. Perricone understands the anti-aging benefits of olive oil moisture and has thus included it in a variety of products, such as the Hydrating Nurtient Mask.

The Nutrient Mask also includes the key sciences Alpha Lipoic Acid, a powerful antioxidant and Tocotrienols, a form of vitamin E. With this trifecta, the mask can help to deliver rich nutrients and antioxidants, hydrate and protect the skin, and minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Another great Olive Oil Polyphenols treatment is the Perricone Nutrient Fortifier, also formulated with DMAE. The two key sciences work synergistically to help prevent wrinkles, while hydrating and refining the skin’s texture.

  27. I am a young woman who would like to look young as long as possible….I’ would test any product….doesnt matter what it is

  28. I am leaving for a trip to Europe in March and am concerned about what the flight will do to my skin. I’d love to have the Nutrient Fortifier on hand to combat the dry air and unfriendly environment. It would be a great way to really test this product!

  29. I would be SO happy to win the Nutrient Fortifier because I am in the age group(54)that obviously needs the Polyphenols & DMAE to “Lock in” moisture & help with photodamage! I live in Utah where it’s very dry & unfortunately has the worst air quality in the nation! I am also in the XTRA high stress catagory as well right now! I hope I will be chosen to win the Nutrient Fortifier. I am also extremely interested in the Neuropeptide Facial Conformer, Firming Moisturizer & Facial Contour as well as the Deep Wrinkle Serum & Pigment Corrective! Wishing & Hoping!

  30. I am an aging (61) ex-model who isn’t about to become an old soldier and “silently fade away”.

My skin is very dry (a pleasure as a blemish-free adolescent, but a disaster after 30) and, for the last few years, I have developed intermitent bouts of roseacea.

I have listened to Dr. Perricone on public television and, not wanting to spend that much money to simply “try” a product, I combed the net for reasonable facsimiles; i.e., products containing the same ingredients.

Unfortunately these products have proven to be abrasively strong and have reaked havoc on my sensitive skin.

At this point, I’d pay most anything for a real doctor’s advice and guidance in product selection.

Imagine my joy if I could receive both for becoming a Perricone tester!!
