You may have seen Dr. Perricone on television or in a magazine. He is the focus of a series of award-winning television specials that air on PBS TV. But who is Dr. Perricone? Why does he get so much buzz?



Dr. Perricone’s Accreditations

Certified by the American Board of Dermatology, Dr. Perricone is the author of numerous scientific articles. He is a contributing editor to the peer-reviewed medical journal, Skin and Aging, as well as a member of the editorial board of Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics.

Dr. Perricone completed medical school at Michigan State University in just 3 years, graduating with distinction. The scholar finished his internship in Pediatrics at Yale Medical School and followed with his dermatology residency at Henry Ford Medical Center in Detroit.

He is an Adjunct Professor of Medicine at Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine, has served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at Yale University School of Medicine, and has also served as Chief of Dermatology at the state of Connecticut’s Veterans Hospital. Dr. Perricone is a Fellow of both the New York Academy of Sciences and the American College of Nutrition. Additionally, he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Society of Investigative Dermatology.

He is the recipient of the American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM) 2000 Norman E Clark, Sr. Lecture Award for his contributions towards advancing “Complementary and Alternative Medicine.” In 2002, Dr. Perricone also received the Eli Whitney Award, presented by the Connecticut Patent Law Association, in recognition of his significant contribution to science, invention, and technology. Dr. Perricone has been awarded 12 U.S. patents and dozens of related international patents.

Beyond his scientific articles, Dr. Perricone has written numerous books to share his research findings. He is author of three New York Times #1 Best Sellers:
