Look the Way You Feel with DMAE Supplements

Are you tired of looking in the mirror and seeing a face that looks older than you feel? Wrinkles are a concern that many face as they age, but the skin condition is treatable with the right anti-aging methods.

One way to reduce wrinkles and other signs of aging is to start a daily skin care regimen that contains dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE). In order to understand how this is possible, it is best to learn what factors lead to the appearance of wrinkles.

Determined to look the way you feel?

Read on to learn how wrinkles form and how DMAE supplements can help make skin look younger and smoother.

Wrinkle Formation

One of the causes of wrinkles and other signs of aging is damage to healthy cells due to free radicals. Free radicals, which are caused by factors such as stress and exposure to the sun, are unstable molecules that are missing an electron. In order to gain stability, the free radical searches out electrons from healthy cells. These attacks leave cells scarred, and over time, leads to the appearance of wrinkles.

The body’s natural defense against these free radicals are antioxidants. Antioxidants search out and eliminate free radicals by providing them with the electron they seek. By doing this, the cells of the body are protected, and the skin is able to maintain a healthy smoothness.

DMAE Supplements

Although DMAE is most well-known for its ability to improve brain functions due to its role in the creation of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine; it also acts as an excellent antioxidant. Although it is not a true antioxidant like alpha lipoic acid, DMAE works like an antioxidant because it helps protect the cell plasma membrane from free radical damage.

DMAE is a very important part of many Dr. Perricone products in both supplement and topical cream form.

One example are the DMAE Supplements. These supplements capture the power of DMAE in a daily capsule form to help:

  • Re-contour skin beginning to lose elasticity
  • Lift, tighten, and tone skin’s appearance
  • Diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

DMAE’s ability to protect the skin from free radicals is one of the reasons that is able to accomplish so much as an anti-aging ingredient.

  1. I recently started supplementing with DMAE after reading a bit about it, I am unsure of how much to use though… I feel I am meant to become a Perricone tester, as I go around telling other people about the Doctors fantastic products. I learned about them while having a facial about 2 years ago, my first professional alpha hydroxy berry facial. I loved the experience and heard good good things about Dr. Perricone. Please select me as a tester, my skin texture is beautiful, just a few wrinkles around my mouth, I am 41 years old. I get comments on my skin quite often and I will credit Dr. Perricone with all of them!

  2. I just saw Dr Perricone for the first time on Dr Oz. I am 54 years old and I am in desperate need of some skin treatments and products. The cost of the products are pretty high fortose of us on fixed incomes but we need help also. What does it take to be a tester? Is there a way to get some samples before you invest in the products?

  3. I have heard of these products and have tried arbonne products in the past. my smile lines are out of control as are my saggin eyelids and puffiness below my eyes. I would love to hear what you may suggest for me. I am also eating more salmon and green tea. I would like to lose a good 5 lbs as well. What do you have that may help me in these areas? Thank you so much for your time!
