What is a free radical?

A free radical is an unstable atom or molecule with a single unpaired electron in its outer shell. Electrons aim to exist in pairs, just like people.

By seeking out their molecular soul mate, they cause damage to healthy molecules when they steal electrons.

How does this affect the appearance of aging?

While free radicals are known to cause many symptoms of aging, including cancer, arthritis, and Alzheimer’s disease, when they attack fat and protein molecules, it can create wrinkles.

How can you slow down this cycle?
